Probably Late Plus
Plus is a subscription through the App Store, monthly or yearly. Everything that makes the app work — the camera, rolls, friends, invites, reactions and comments — is free and stays free.
What Plus unlocks
- Two more looks. Polaroid and Ultramax can be shot with, not just seen. The other six looks are free.
- Four more camera colours. Oxblood, Night, Butter and Lilac join Pool, Paper, Ivy and Tangerine.
- Seen by. See who has looked at your prints, and let friends see when you have looked at theirs. Off until you turn it on.
- Your six reactions. Choose the six emoji you react with instead of the default set.
- The orange badge. A hand-drawn ring and crown on your face wherever friends see it.
- The ticket in Apple Wallet. Your membership ticket, with your page's QR code on it, added to Wallet with Apple's own button.
- Unlimited uploads from your album. Three photos a month can be printed from your album for free; with Plus there is no limit.
What it costs
In the US, $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year. If this Apple ID has never had Plus, the first month is $1.99. The App Store shows the price in your own currency before you confirm. Both plans unlock the same things; the yearly one is simply cheaper over a year.
Subscribing
Where to find it
The app offers Plus wherever a Plus feature is tapped — a Plus look in the camera, a Plus camera colour, Seen by in Settings, holding a reaction to edit it — and from the ticket at the top of Settings. The purchase is handled by Apple; we never see your card.
Which Apple ID
The one signed in to the App Store on that phone. Plus belongs to that Apple ID, not to your Probably Late account — so it follows you to a new phone, and it would not follow you to a second Probably Late account on the same phone.
Restoring on a new phone
Sign in to the same Apple ID and tap Restore Purchases on the Plus screen. The app also checks your entitlements each time it launches, so usually there is nothing to do.
Cancelling
How to cancel
Through your Apple ID, not through us: on your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, choose Probably Late Plus and tap Cancel. You keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for.
What happens when it lapses
Nothing of yours is deleted. Prints taken with Plus looks or Plus camera colours stay exactly as they are. The Plus looks and colours stop being selectable, your chosen reactions go back to the default six, Seen by switches off (your setting is remembered for when you return), the badge comes off, and album uploads go back to three a month.

Refunds for App Store purchases are decided by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Seen by, in detail
How it works
Seen by is a read receipt, and it works both ways. With it on, opening a friend’s print marks you as having seen it, and on your own prints you can see who has looked. With it off — the default for everyone — you are not marked as having looked at anything, and you are not shown who looked at yours. Asking to see who looked at a print turns it on, and the app says so.
Who can see it
Only members of the roll, and only those with Seen by on. It is never shown on a public roll to someone who is not a member.
Do friends know I have Plus?
They see the badge. The app saves when your subscription ends to your profile so other phones can draw it; nothing else about the purchase is shared. See What we keep.
